Megan Thee Stallion shared her thoughts about her partner, Klay Thompson, when they went out together on the red carpet on July 16 at the Pete & Thomas Foundation gala.

In an exclusive interview with Page Six on the day, Stallion was asked about what it felt like having Thompson, also a basketball player, by her side. Responding to the question, the rapper said:

“I have never dated somebody so kind like this is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy.”

Megan Thee Stallion went on:

“I just never dated somebody like him before and I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side and he feels the same way about me.”

The news of Stallion and Thompson dating was first shared by TMZ after she posted a photo with him on Instagram. Klay Thompson also posted photos on his Instagram, in one of which the two can be seen sharing a kiss. The basketball player was also seen in one of the carousel photos Megan Thee Stallion posted on Instagram.

Stallion was previously in a relationship with rapper Pardison Fontaine. Meanwhile, speaking about the Pete & Thomas Foundation gala, she said:

“I feel like I’m carrying on a good legacy of my family name. I know [my parents are] looking down on me super proud.”

Here's how Megan Thee Stallion responded to her fan questions in 2024

Last year, Megan Thee Stallion sat down with WIRED, where she answered some of the most searched questions about her. The first question was how she got her name, and she explained that in the South, women who were tall and curvy were often called “stallions.” She said that if someone was over 5'9" with a fuller figure, they fit that description.

When asked about her famous “knees,” she said people started calling them “Megan knees” after seeing her squat and twerk for a long time without getting tired. She didn’t realize that not everyone could stay in that position for so long. Answering a question about her freestyle, Megan Thee Stallion said:

“Everybody knows that I am just the freestyle queen, like, I will literally rap anywhere. I was going to, like, radio stations and rapping. I was on top of buildings rapping. I was in front of my car rapping, in front of my apartment rapping, in my garage rapping. The level of skill you have to have to, like, really just, like, rap off the dome about anything, that just makes you that b*tch.”

Speaking about her workout routine, Megan Thee Stallion said she called it “Hottie Bootcamp.” She explained that she liked to mix things up, trying different types of workouts. She once tried pole workouts but admitted it wasn’t for her and gave credit to those who had the strength for it.

She focused on high-intensity training, weight training, running up sand hills, and even joked about lifting heavy things like her fridge or dogs. Overall, she said her routine depended on what she felt like doing that day.
