Linkin Park officially returned to Phoenix on Saturday, September 6, 2025, where the band performed at PHX Arena for the first time since the death of Chester Bennington in 2017.

For some fans in the Valley, the concert marked a homecoming for the band, as it had ties to the city through Bennington. The stop was part of the From Zero World Tour. The trek has been designed to support the group's latest studio album, From Zero. The record debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in November 2024.

This was Linkin Park's first album release since One More Light in 2017, and their first world tour in seven years. Emily Armstrong is the new co-lead vocalist, and Colin Brittain is behind the drums now.

The Phoenix show saw the chemistry of Linkin Park's new lineup. Emily Armstrong has stepped into the co-lead role once held by Chester Bennington. Alongside her, drummer Colin Brittain has taken over live duties from founding member Rob Bourdon. Guitarist Alex Feder fills in for Brad Delson on tour. Founding members Mike Shinoda, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, and Joe Hahn remain on the lineup.

Speaking about Emily, Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda shared in a recent statement:

"We knew we wanted to have the best possible version of all this, so we were very careful not to tell her or colin type: 'Hey, you are playing in the Linkin Park'. At the beginning, we just said: 'We are friends, we make music'. And in fact, Colin thought he would be my solo project, while Emily thought he would just go as a guest in the project."

He added:

"In the end, the more time we spent with them, the more he became like a group of friends who met. A minute before it seemed to us to work on something, and then a minute later we realized: 'Oh, we were sitting to speak for hours, without doing anything'. I think this is the magic of each band: you have to have similar goals."
