Nicki Minaj is one of the most influential artists of all time. She is known for her lyrical wordplay and rap talents. The Trinidadian-born rapper has also had her fair share of beef with other musicians.

Nicki Minaj and SZA are feuding. The feud between the Starships hitmaker and the SZA began after the former accused the President of Top Dawg Entertainment, Terrence Anderson, of bullying on X on July 15, 2025.

The rapper called out SZA on X some time later, claiming that the Saturn singer had thrown shade at her for calling out Anderson. Her post about Anderson read:

"Lol. Yall remember that man from tde who kept bullying me on Twitter for no reason? Lol. I never even responded to him. What was his name again, yall? Im going to give him a nickname. Ima call him 'Minus 30 million' from now on."

SZA made a vague post about “Mercury retrograde” and “not taking the bait.” Minaj responded to the post, claiming the former had subtly dissed her. After the duo fired shots at each other, SZA backed out of the fight with a message of peace and goodwill:

“Lmao lemme go back to being calm, shy, and meek. Yall have blessed night !"

Cardi B, Miley Cyrus and other musicians that Nicki Minaj has clashed with

1) Cardi B

Things seemed to go downhill after Minaj teamed up with Cardi B on the Migos’ Motorsport track in 2017. After Cardi B granted an interview stating that some lines were changed without her notice, Minaj expressed that she was hurt by the latter’s statement in an interview with Beats 1 radio in April 2018.

Later, Cardi alleged that she had been blocked on X, and fans speculated that the rapper was referring to Nicki Minaj. Months of subtle digs and snide remarks resulted in a full-blown brawl at Harper’s Bazaar’s ICONS party. While the duo hasn’t physically assaulted each other since then, they don’t seem to have resolved their differences either.

2) Miley Cyrus

In 2015, in an interview with The New York Times, Miley Cyrus commented on Minaj’s statements about race and the VMAs. Cyrus seemingly suggested in the interview that Minaj’s tone wasn’t polite. Minaj confronted Cyrus at the VMAs in the same year with the now-infamous lines:

"Now, back to this b**** that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press, Miley what's good?"

Cyrus replied and seemed to suggest that her statement was misconstrued. Their feud reached a stalemate in 2019 after Cyrus dropped Cattitude with the lines “I love you Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.” Minaj responded, calling Cyrus a “Perdue chicken.”

3) Mariah Carey

Whilst Nicki and Mariah Carey were judges on American Idol in 2012, the duo didn’t see eye to eye, and according to People, subtle jabs and veiled insults ensued. A video released by TMZ around that time showed Minaj swearing and angry. The two judges left the show on the same day in 2012 without much explanation.

4) Lil Kim

At the early stage of her career, Minaj faced controversy as fellow rapper Lil Kim accused the former of stealing her style at the Breakfast Club in May 2012. Lil Kim seemingly took another dig at Nicki Minaj on the Flawless song remix. In September 2022, Lil Kim joined forces with Megan Thee Stallion on the remix of the Plan B song, but later claimed that some of the controversial lyrics weren’t directed at Nicki Minaj and her son.

5) Megan Thee Stallion

Megan and Nicki started as friends in the industry, releasing the Hot Girl Summer track together in 2019. While the origins of their beef are unclear, Minaj unfollowed Megan in 2021 and the latter released a song titled Hiss where she seemingly referenced Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty, who is a registered s*x offender. This resulted in a series of diss tracks between the two. A memorable one was Minaj’s Big Foot track, which alluded to Megan getting shot by Tory Lanez back in 2020.

Other artists that Nicki Minaj has had beef with include Remy Ma and Taylor Swift.
