NSYNC will be celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, and there may be big plans for their fans. According to an exclusive report from TMZ, four out of five members of the band are in discussion of a reunion tour. Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, and Joey Fatone are possibly doing an area tour, even if Justin Timberlake does not join the former boy band.

Sources told TMZ that the four members know they can still draw in the crowd even if one member is missing. Earlier, TMZ reported that NSYNC was offered a huge stadium tour by Live Nation and AEG, which was supposed to kick off in 2026. However, only four of them responded to the offer, and Timberlake did not reach back. This was before he revealed his Lyme disease diagnosis.

Discussions for a possible upcoming tour are in the works, and Kirkpatrick, Chasez, Bass, and Fatone are in. The four members are still hopeful Timberlake will join the band like old times.

When was the last time NSYNC went on tour?

The last time NSYNC went on tour was more than two decades ago. Their last tour was the 'Celebrity Tour' in 2002, which was their fifth and last tour. Celebrity Tour was organized to promote their fourth studio album, Celebrity. It generated around $30 million in revenue.

Some of their opening acts included performances on selected dates from Ginuwine, Mr. Cheeks, P. Diddy, Smash Mouth, and Tony Lucca.

The tour was exclusively in the United States, and NSYNC performed in 32 cities in total. The cities the boy band stopped at include Portland, Tacoma, Oakland, Sacramento, San Jose, San Diego, Anaheim, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Denver, Ames, Grand Forks, Minneapolis, Auburn Hills, Grand Rapids, Rosemont, Buffalo, Philadelphia, Uniondale, East Rutherford, Boston, Hartford, Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh, Columbus, Memphis, Sunrise, Orlando.

Initially, NSYNC was also supposed to perform in Canada, but the shows were cancelled.

What did critics say about NSYNC's 'Celebrity Tour'?

The boy band's 2002 'Celebrity Tour' gained a lot of positive feedback from critics. Marty Hughley of The Oregonian had this to say about their Rose Garden performance. He wrote:

"Lead singers Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez sounded more assured than ever, the whole group's harmonies were tighter and stronger, the dancing looked like second nature, and the show kept a breathless pace without ever seeming to rush."

While Makeisha Madden from The News Tribune commented on their Tacoma Dome performance, saying:

"one big joyride through an amusement park...starting off slowly and building anticipation in the near sellout crowd during a fine-tuned, 24-song frenzy that exploded at the very end."

Leah Greenblatt of MTV News also had this to say about the Rose Garden show. She said:

"Justin was quickly established as the star...at least as far as the Jumbotron cameramen were concerned—with JC running a close second. Joey, Lance and Chris have all the moves down, but appear to be going through the motions at times... Justin especially reveled in his role, and played the audience like a Stratocaster, goading them into sing-alongs and putting in some quality time alone up front at the lip of the stage."

NSYNC is gearing up to celebrate their 30th anniversary, with four members reportedly in talks for a reunion tour, even if Justin Timberlake does not join. Their last tour was 23 years ago, and fans have been waiting for a long time to see them back on the stage again.
