Brisbane's Regurgitator is officially heading back out on the road. The band's newly announced 2025 Jukeboxxin' tour is a retrospective celebration of their catalogue of singles. They will be pulling out fan favourite tracks and some lesser-known songs for a run-through over 30 years of work.
The trek has been set to kick off in Darwin on November 14, 2025, and wrap up in Avalon Beach on December 13, 2025. The tour spans regional towns and city venues across Australia, with special guests Dem Mob, Laura and the Hell Cutz, and others joining at select stops.
Regurgitator announced the upcoming tour via an official Instagram post, which read:
"JUKEBOXXIN' in the 21st century! It's a retrospective of singles time! A fistful of fizzers poppin' packets over a hard driving 32 years plus. REGURGITATOR have spun the dial and played it each and every way. Sui generis jukebottin’ amid droids of repetition, jabbin' society in the eye with a groove full of politics. 55 tablatures of candy fix… punch a coin in the slot. Press play, hit repeat."
The post's caption continued:
"After last year's INVADER of the new comes a deep droid into those much loved plateaus of the nostalgia machine. Blister packin' energy tracked in cycles of repetition… from Like it Like That's and Kong Foo Sing’s... to Black Bugs, Polyester Girl’s through the Songs Formerly Known As, to the Pest's and Cocaine Runaways… the shuffling bots - Quan, Ben, Pete, and latest keytaring effervescence Sarah - with their selector effects will cram as many hits as they canned into near on two hours of aural sugar that drips and drops."
Regurgitator also added:
""A perpetual possibility, in a world of speculation." (T.S. Eliot) Joining the pumped up playlist for majority of shows is the most remote hiphop group in the world DEM MOB. Smack, bang up for it. Let’s arcade the fun!"
Regurgitator was formed in Brisbane in 1993. The trio, Ben Ely, Quan Yeomans, and Peter Kostic, have delivered some beloved albums like Tu-Plang (1996), Unit (1997), and more recently, Invader (2024).
Their latest work, Invader, features collaborations with Peaches, JK47, and Tyson Yunkaporta. Notably, their live setup now includes new touring member Sarah Lim on keytar and guitar.
