Saweetie is set to release her debut album, Pretty Bitch Music, in 2025. Originally scheduled to be held in 2021. The singer briefly talked about her album in an exclusive interview with Billboard on February 18, 2025, stating:
"Yeah, it’s coming this year. “I feel like it will really encompass who I’ve grown into over these past couple of years. Lots of stories to tell."
In another interview with the Cero Magazine on January 16, 2025, the singer talked about how her early success ultimately led to the delay in her album, stating:
"I’m a Sagittarius moon, which means I want to learn everything, I want to do everything, I want to conquer everything. You can’t do that. ou need to put your focus and attention on one thing that can eventually become a platform for other things. There just wasn’t enough time in my schedule to properly record because I had so many brand deals, so many shoots, so many shows."
The singer continued:
"There was no time for me to figure out where I was going with my music. My brand became so big that it began to overshadow my music. I became more known for my content, and that’s not the reason why I’m here. Yes, I’m the content queen. Yes, I love creating aesthetics, photos, and videos that inspire people. But the reason why I’m here is music."
Saweetie has recently been featured in several shows and films as either herself or as a character, including the show Velma, the documentary Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip-Hop, and the film Idiotka, among others.
The singer recently came forward to state that acting is her primary career plan after the release of her debut album, stating to InStyle magazine in an exclusive interview published on February 5, 2025, revealing she had already sent audition tapes for a music-related film's protagonist role:
"After I drop this album, I can foresee myself going into complete acting mode. I sent in my audition tapes before the new year, so I'm looking forward to hearing back from them. [I'd] be playing the protagonist. So I'm really excited for this."
Saweetie aweetie released her latest EP, Dear Big Santa, in November last year. She has also released singles such as Rock Your Hips, Is It the Way, and GPP feat. Liana Banks, and My Best, to name a few.
