BLACKPINK is officially back. After a nearly three-year group hiatus, the globally beloved K-pop act has returned with their new digital single "Jump". It was released on July 11, 2025, at 1 p.m. KST.

"Jump" is the group's first release since 2023's "The Girls." It also serves as the kickoff to a new chapter for Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa as they reunite for the BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR <DEADLINE>. The trek will span 31 shows across 16 cities.

The group premiered the track during the opening weekend of their Deadline World Tour in Goyang, South Korea. A teaser for the music video had trended at No. 1 on YouTube Worldwide in the days leading up to the drop. Now the full music video is out. The official MV is directed by GRAMMY-winner Dave Meyers.

Internet reactions to BLACKPINK's latest single 'Jump'

BLACKPINK took to their official X (formerly Twitter) handle to drop the 'Jump' MV announcement. The post was captioned:

"#BLACKPINK '뛰어(JUMP)' OUT NOW ON YOUTUBE: https://youtu.be/CgCVZdcKcqY. Listen on your favorite streaming platform: http://BLACKPINK.lnk.to/JUMP"

BLINKs did not waste any time to weigh in on the comment section of the post as they voiced their excitement and thoughts regarding the beloved K-pop girl group's latest single. Below are what some of them had to say:

"THIS IS SUCH A HUGE GLOBAL SMASH HITTTT", declared a fan.
"this song sounds like it's copied from somewhere? the beat… the melody… it all sounds so familiar. i just can't pinpoint exactly where i've heard it. oh wait… i figured it out… it sounds like the SONG OF THE YEAR!", penned another.
"Seriously, how did they approve them performing with that awful effect? I loved the song, but the MV is the weakest in BP's career. I missed the individual visuals like in Pink Venom, for example. Waiting 3 years for an MV like this is disappointing, honestly.", opined a third.

Others also chimed in:

"Why some scenes reminding me how these gurlies are living the haters brain 24/7 until they bump their head and jump?!", commented an X user.
""JUMP" is definitely a very beautiful song, I loved it, the song is amazing, the music video is full of artistry, my beautiful girls BLACKPINK are brilliant, cool and wonderful, they are incredibly magnificent", lauded another.
"The song is very good. But the music video seriously leaves a lot to be desired, not to mention that some scenes seemed to be made with AI and others with pretty terrible effects", noted a third.
"Blackpink in your area, this is awesome! I had so much fun watching the music video I LOVED it! It is stuck in my head, and I will not stop dancing to it for a long time.", hyped a fourth.

Since the conclusion of their Born Pink era in late 2022, BLACKPINK's members have mainly focused on solo projects. Rosé released Rosie in December 2024, Jisoo followed with Amortage in February 2025, Lisa dropped Alter Ego, and Jennie released Ruby. Finally, Jump is their collective return.

Jump is co-written by Teddy, Diplo, 24, Zikai, Claudia Valentina, and others. It is produced by Diplo, 24, Boaz Van De Beatz, Zecca, and Ape Drums. The track opens with a Western-style guitar riff before launching into frenetic beats and vocals. The chorus — "뛰어 뛰어 (jump, jump)" — is anchored in high energy.

The Jump music video plays relatively like a mini-film. Jisoo walks a rooftop runway, Lisa leads tunnel choreography, Jennie dances through a mirrored labyrinth, and Rosé delivers a serenade on a neon-lit street.
