Swedish House Mafia is set to become the first EDM band to headline Arthur Ashe Stadium when it performs in New York on September 11, 2025. Their act will also feature a charity concert initiative, with proceeds from ticket sales ($1 from every ticket) going towards supporting those affected by the 9/11 attacks.

With Swedish House Mafia's performance being scheduled for September 11, the band has partnered with the charity organization Plus1 to support the victims of 9/11. It has also announced its commitment to match the total amount that will be raised. The news has been confirmed by the band through a statement released on social media as well, which states the following:

"SHM is partnering with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold goes to supporting organizations serving those affected by the events of September 11, 2001. In addition, the final donation will be matched by SHM."

Swedish House Mafia - a brief history

Swedish House Mafia first debuted in 2009 with the track “Leave the World Behind,” but it was their 2010 track “One” that truly announced their arrival into the music industry. Some of the albums that the band had released by this time, like the 2010 album called "Until One" and "Until Now" in 2012, solidified its reputation as one of the pioneers of the EDM segment, merely a few years after its establishment.

After five years of hiatus, which made the fans doubt the group would ever get back, Swedish House Mafia shocked the world in 2018 by having a joint performance at Ultra Music Festival. Another major hit among the fans is their 2022 album called "Paradise Again."

In addition to the musical accomplishments, the band has shown a strong sense of philanthropy, using their power to promote a number of different charitable campaigns, especially those contributing to the area of support of child welfare and disaster aid.

The Arthur Ashe Stadium is the biggest tennis stadium in the world, and the events that have been hosted there have been inclined towards that sport too. These events have been interspersed with a few artistic performances in between, and Swedish House Mafia is now about to become a part of folklore. With 23,000 seats potentially filled, this could also result in a significant contribution to organizations supporting those affected by 9/11.

Pre-sale registration for the tickets opened earlier this month, with access beginning July 23, 2025, at 10 AM ET. The general sale kicks off on July 25, 2025, also at 10 AM ET.
