More details on Doja Cat’s Jealous Type
Jealous Type is the single from Doja Cat’s upcoming fifth studio album. The song is scheduled for release on August 21, 2025. The song was written by Cat, Jack Antonoff, and Y2K, with the latter two also handling production. Doja names the song as one of her favorites from Vie.

“My favorite song on the album? I was about to say—well, my favorite song on the album is 'Gorgeous,' but 'Jealous Type' and 'Gorgeous' are grabbing each other’s hair and beating the shit out of each other. So, I don’t really know.”
Jealous Type is centered on uncertainty, insecurity, choice, love, and jealousy. The first verse reads:
“He loves me/ But he can’t hold this above me/ When my eyes are green, I'm ugly/ You're vain and hip to rushing/ I'm so over time/ I will not wait in this lane, never see me cry/ You're mine.”
