"We are immensely grateful for the outpouring of love and support from fans, colleagues, and friends during this time of grief. While the world has lost an extraordinary talent, we have lost someone irreplaceable - and we ask for privacy as we navigate this painful moment together."

Johnny Rodriguez was married thrice. His first wife was Linda Diann Patterson. She was a Southern Airways flight attendant from Georgia. They married at the peak of his music career in the 1970s. The two later divorced.

Rodriguez married Lana Nelson in 1995. She is the daughter of country music icon Willie Nelson. This union only lasted for seven months, and they ended up divorcing.
