The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, a beloved American summer festival, faced a disruption this year.

The annual four-day event was originally scheduled for June 12 to June 15, 2025, in Manchester, Tennessee. The 2025 edition was abruptly canceled after one day due to severe weather.

This year's stormy weather led to hazardous conditions that made camping and movement across the venue very difficult, reports suggest.

Bonnaroo organizers initially offered a 75% refund. However, it sparked significant backlash. Now, Bonnaroo has updated its refund policy to offer full 100% refunds to all eligible ticket holders.

Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival took to its official Instagram handle to announce its new refund policy regarding the 2025 edition's cancellation. Their official statement read:

"We want you to know that we're still listening and actively discussing plans to improve The Farm that we love so much. At this time, we will not be announcing future dates. When plans for the future take shape, you all will be the first to know."

Bonnaroo authorities also added details of the new policy:

"For now, we are updating the refund to 100%, rather than the 75% originally offered. The 100% refund applies to the following ticket types purchased via Front Gate Tickets:
All 1-Day Friday, Saturday and Sunday Admission Tickets
All 1-Day Friday, Saturday and Sunday Day Parking
All 4-Day Admission Tickets
All 4-Day Camping Accommodations
"Everyone who works on this show loves Bonnaroo deeply. Some of us have been here since the early years, some were fans first, and some are new but fell in love with it as soon as they felt your energy and spirit on The Farm. We look forward to this show all year. It's what reenergizes us and restores our faith in community every single summer."

The post concluded, stating:

"Our main goal is to give you the most memorable weekend of your lives every year. This cancellation broke our hearts beyond measure, but we knew it had to happen for your safety. Thank you for your patience and perseverance through this difficult situation."

The decision of policy change comes after days of criticism from fans. It was reported that many of them faced drenched tents and other adverse experiences at the festival site.

Bonnaroo festival officials initially defended the partial refund based on the one full day of performances, which was headlined by country star Luke Combs. However, there was pressure from fans, which included a petition that gathered over 6,000 signatures. This reportedly led organizers to reconsider.

What does Bonnaroo's new refund policy include?

The revised refund policy will provide a 100% refund for all ticket types purchased through the festival's official ticketing partner, Front Gate Tickets.

This includes:

  • All 1-Day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday admission tickets
  • All 1-Day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday parking passes
  • All 4-Day admission tickets
  • All 4-day camping accommodations

Refunds will be automatically processed for eligible customers. However, it is worth noting that the authorities have yet to provide an exact timeline for when the funds will return to attendees' accounts.

Attendees who purchased through third-party vendors or resale platforms may need to contact those sources directly, as the refund policy currently applies only to Front Gate purchases.

The festival has not announced any details or dates about future events as of now. The festival held in Manchester, Tennessee, was scheduled to have performances by Tyler the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, Glass Animals, Avril Lavigne, and Hozier, among many others.
