The singer and TV personality, Kelly Osbourne, was proposed to by her longtime boyfriend, Sid Wilson, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, backstage at her father Ozzy Osbourne’s final Black Sabbath concert at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.

Kelly's engagement ring, however, is making rounds on the internet, as it carries a deep emotional meaning. As per reports by Daily Mail, her engagement ring is designed with a special nod to one of her close friends, Joan Rivers, who co-hosted the E! celebrity fashion show Fashion Police along with Kelly from 2010 to 2014.

Other than being dazzling in appearance, the ring is a symbolic and personal tribute to her relationships and memories.

More about Kelly Osbourne's engagement ring

After Kelly Osbourne was proposed to by Sid in front of family and friends on Saturday, her ring has been the talk of the town. As per reports, her ring is a tribute to her late friend Joan. Joan and Sid called Kelly 'honeybee' as a nickname. Joan had called her that as she would always 'spread good energy' and 'buzz around.'

It was a coincidence when her boyfriend, Sid, also picked the same nickname for her unknowingly. To honor the nickname and Joan' memories with Kelly, the ring’s design includes bee and pollen-inspired details. The ring is 18k and has white and yellow diamonds, along with citrine accents. The ring also has a centre piece which is a 2.5 carat round brilliant-cut diamond.

Sid worked with the renowned jeweler Pascal Mouawad to create a custom piece. Explaining how he wanted the ring to be, as per MailOnline, he said:

''So I have a nickname for Kelly, and it's 'Honeybee' and coincidentally a friend of hers, Joan Rivers used to call her this. It was a nickname [Joan] had for her. I didn't know this, it's like an amazing coincidence, it's like whoa, like meant to be.''

Kelly Osbourne shared the engagement news on her Instagram handle with the caption:

"Oh and this happened yesterday!"

In the video clip shared on social media, Sid is seen saying this to Kelly:

''Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world.''

He was then jokingly interrupted by Ozzy, who said:

"F--- off, you’re not marrying my daughter."

Laughing off at Ozzy's comment, Sid says to Kelly:

"Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?"

Kelly then nods her head, and the couple hugs with their family cheering on them. Kelly Osbourne and Wilson had first met in 1999, although they confirmed their relationship in 2022, and in the same year, the couple welcomed their first child, Sidney.
