Jennie Kim, a member of the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, is making waves on social media. The One of the Girls singer donated 100 million won (nearly $73,000) to Seoul National University’s College of Medicine, as per The Korea Herald.
The Seoul National University’s College of Medicine's development fund community announced the news on Friday, May 30, 2025, through a formal press release. Back in 2023, her label Odd Atelier had donated 100 million won to the same institution.
As of 2025, the rapper has achieved remarkable success and popularity in her solo career, and, as per Celebrity Net Worth, her net worth is $30 million.

Jennie, who debuted as a BLACKPINK member in 2016, recently donated 100 million won to the Seoul National University College of Medicine. According to allkpop, the fund committee, while making the announcement, said:
''Jennie made the generous donation with the hope of supporting the cultivation of compassionate individuals who aspire to heal the world. Her contribution will go toward the college’s advancement fund.''
The Korea Herald reports that Kim Jeong-eun, dean of the medical college, expressed gratitude to Jennie and said:
''We deeply appreciate Jennie’s generosity, which goes beyond financial support and embodies positive influence. We will do our best to cultivate future leaders who possess compassion, communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility to earn the public’s trust.''
The college aims to use the donation to enhance their education and research environment, and to foster medical professionals with both excellence as well as empathy.
The BLACPINK member, a rapper, singer, and dancer, surged in popularity when she released her debut single Solo in November 2018.
