Laufey officially kicked off her A Matter of Time Tour on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. The show was the start of the singer-songwriter's first-ever headlining arena tour, which is designed to support her latest album, A Matter of Time.

The record was released on August 22, 2025. It opened at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, and topped the Jazz, Vinyl, and Independent Albums charts. Laufey debuted her first record in 2021.
