Finneas is experimenting with his music and surprising fans with the unexpected. On June 2, the singer announced a new band named 'The Favors' with American singer Ashe. Additionally, while the news was exciting enough, they also mentioned their upcoming album, The Dream, which is scheduled to be released in September 2025.
The announcement came from The Favors' official Instagram account with the caption,
"We made a band. It’s called The Favors. Announcing our new album, The Dream, out September 19. Debut single, “The Little Mess You Made”, Friday, June 6. We deeply loved making this music together in secret and can’t wait for it to finally make it’s way to you"
On Monday, the pair declared that they had formally formed a band around four years after releasing their duet, Till Forever Falls Apart, which was featured on Ashe's first studio album, Ashlyn (2021). Ashe became popular following the release of her breakthrough single, Moral of the Story, which was also produced by Finneas.

More about The Dream album by The Favors
The upcoming album by The Favors, titled The Dream, will drop on streaming platforms on September 19. The album will consist of twelve tracks, including the upcoming track, The Little Mess You Made, which will be released as a single on the upcoming Friday.
Finneas and Ashe have previously collaborated on a song titled Till Forever Falls Apart. In Berklee's Career Jam panel, Ashe was also seen admiring the singer and their collaboration by saying,
"I was working on my first album [Ashlyn], and I wrote the bones of ‘Till Forever Falls Apart’ . . . I texted you (Finneas) and asked just to ask you if you wanted to be a part of it, and you rewrote the second verse."
She also called it 'the best lyrics of the song.'
Finneas also talked about how they have been working behind the scenes for a long time to create their band's first album. He said,
“Over the past 18 months, Ashe and I have been toiling away on this album and I really mean it when I say I could not be more proud of it – David Marinelli on drums, Ricky Gourmet on guitar – I love being in a band.”
Finneas is also a co-producer of most of his sister, Billie Eilish's, songs. Last month, the singer dropped the music video of his song, 2001, directed by his girlfriend, Claudia Sulewski.
