Fans of BTS’ Kim Taehyung are excited as the K-pop idol bags another achievement even as he rounds up his military service. On Thursday, May 7, V shared the news of his latest achievement via a post on BTS’ official Instagram page, which he captioned:
“Thank you so much for your support, ARMY,” he said, finishing with the group’s signature purple heart.
Kim Taehyung shares his excitement as his solo track surpasses 1 billion streams on the popular music streaming app Spotify, earning a plaque to commemorate the milestone. This makes Kim Taehyung the third member of the globally acknowledged group to reach and surpass this milestone, joining BTS’ Jimin and BTS’ Jungkook, who also have tracks with over a billion streams.
Jimin received his Spotify plaque for Like Crazy and Who on February 11, 2025, while JK received his for Left and Right and Standing Next To You on March 29, 2025. However, he shared his Spotify plaque for Seven in December 2023, via his official Instagram account.

In addition to Kim Taehyung's Love Me Again, six songs, three belonging to JK’s discography, two belonging to Jimin’s discography have reached and exceeded 1 billion Spotify streams. The songs include Standing Next To You, Left and Right, and Seven feat. Latto by Jungkook, Who and Like Crazy by Jimin, and the most recent, Love Me Again by Kim Taehyung.
All three of JK's tracks that have reached 1 billion streams come from his debut studio album, Golden, which was released on November 3, 2023. The album features 11 tracks, including 3D, Closer to You, Seven, Standing Next To You, Yes or No, Please Don't Change, and Too Sad To Dance, to mention a few. Golden’s concept was structured into three parts: Shine, Solid, and Substance. These concepts explore the different facets of JK’s identity.
Like Crazy by Jimin was released on March 24, 2023, as the title track of his debut solo album, Face. Like Crazy explores the themes of love, desire, and escape. In addition to earning 1 billion Spotify streams, Like Crazy became the first song by a K-pop soloist to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100, the highest debut by a K-pop soloist on the UK Singles Chart, and the fastest song by a South Korean soloist to reach 100, 200, and 400 million streams on Spotify.

Who is another track by Park Jimin that has reached 1 billion streams. It was released on July 19, 2024, as the title track of his second solo album, Muse. The song centers on the themes of love and discovery. Upon release, it gained several achievements, including the fastest song by a K-pop soloist to hit 1 billion Spotify streams and the longest-running song by a K-pop soloist on the US Global 200.
The sixth and final song by a BTS member to reach 1 billion streams is Kim Taehyung's Love Me Again. Love Me Again was a pre-release single from his debut solo album, Layover. It was released on August 10, 2023, a few weeks before the album’s official release on September 8, 2023. The song is centered on the themes of love and longing. Upon release, the R&B track's music video gained 1 million views in seven minutes, and prior to its full release, the song topped the US iTunes Music Video chart.
While fans are excited about the members' solo achievementss, they are eagerly counting down the days until all seven members reunite and hopefully release new music as a group.
