English singer and songwriter Jessie J has been in the music industry for a long time. She had always been passionate about music, starting as early as 11 years old by performing in the West End musical Whistle Down the Wind. However, she rose to stardom after signing with Republic Records. She debuted her first single, Do It Like a Man, on November 18, 2010. The track was the lead single for her first studio album, Who You Are.
Jessie J, whose full name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, has been a dominating force in the music industry since the 2010s. She released several hits such as Price Tag, Domino, Bang Bang, Flashlight, and more. On June 3, 2025, Jessie J posted a video on her official Instagram, sharing some personal news right after releasing two new songs. She said:
"I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. I’m highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form but I’m holding onto the word early. I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period. I just wanted to be open and share it. One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I’m not processing it because I’m working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I’m an open book."
She added by saying jokingly:
"I’m getting to keep my n*pples… that’s good. It’s a very dramatic way to get a b**b job! I am gonna disappear for a bit after summertime ball to have my surgery. And I will come back with massive t*ts and more music."
Although cancer is a serious topic, Jessie J is hopeful and took it in a lighthearted manner by writing in the caption:
"No (more) Secrets and is it too soon to do a remix called ‘Living my breast life’? 🥴 All jokes aside (You know it’s one of the ways I get through hard times) This last 2 months have been so amazing, and having this go on along side it on the sideline’s has given me the most incredible perspective. BUT… Your girl needs a hug. 🫂🫀🔋 Also not getting massive t*ts. Or am I? No no… I must stop joking."

"I remember just going home and not processing it... I posted it [on social media] because I didn't have anyone there to break on. I didn't have anyone to just fall apart on, and that’s what I needed. That’s what I wanted... It was just the saddest thing, but at the same time, I knew that the reason it happened was because I wasn’t supposed to do it alone."
