For the first time in nearly two decades, New Zealand's legendary art-pop act Split Enz are officially reuniting. The original members, Tim Finn, Neil Finn, Eddie Rayner, and Noel Crombie, are set to return to Australian stages in May 2026 for the Forever Enz Tour.

The reunion will celebrate 50 years since the release of their debut album, Mental Notes. The anniversary is also being celebrated alongside the reissue of their catalogue under the Enzyclopedia series.

Split Enz officially disbanded in 1984. The decision came after founding member Tim Finn left the group to pursue a solo career following his first solo album, Escapade, in 1983. They concluded their career with a farewell run, titled Enz with a Bang! tour. The run wrapped up with a final show at Auckland's Logan Campbell Centre on December 6, 1984.

Before announcing the 2026 Australian tour, Split Enz had confirmed a special reunion performance at Christchurch's Electric Avenue Festival in February 2026 and a headline slot at the 2026 Byron Bay Bluesfest. These shows will be the band's first live performances since their one-off appearance at Melbourne's Sound Relief concert in 2009.

Split Enz announced the upcoming AU reunion tour via an official Instagram post, captioning:
