After nearly three years without a full-group release, BLACKPINK is officially set to return with a new song. They will debut a song live at the kickoff of their 2025 world tour.

The girl group's label, YG Entertainment, confirmed on June 23, 2025, that the new track will be performed for the first time at the 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR <DEADLINE> IN GOYANG.' The concert will take place at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on July 5 and 6, 2025.

This is going to be BLACKPINK's first group comeback in two years and eight months. The song announcement follows their last full album, Born Pink, which was released in September 2022.

Since then, the four members, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa, have mainly focused on solo music, acting projects, and more. The Goyang concerts will open their new tour and are also expected to be a reunion moment with their global fanbase, BLINKs.

In an official statement, BLACKPINK's agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed:

"There was a lot of discussion about how to release this new song, and we decided to first reveal it at the Goyang concert, which is the starting point of the DEADLINE tour where we will be reunited with fans. We will officially announce more information about the release date soon."

The title, genre, and official release date of the upcoming new track remain under wraps. However, it is worth noting that YG has confirmed that a music video with BLACKPINK was filmed earlier in June in South Korea.
