Metallica officially kicked off the Australian leg of their M72 World Tour on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Perth's Optus Stadium. It was their first live show on Australian soil in over twelve years. The band last performed Down Under during the 2013 Soundwave Festival.The Perth concert was the first stop on Metallica's Australia and New Zealand run. The trek will now continue into the Middle East and Europe through 2026.
