Why did Close Enemies postpone 2025 California tour? Reason explained

Supergroup Close Enemies has officially postponed its California tour dates originally scheduled for fall 2025.

The dates have now been shifted to January 2026 due to what the band has called an "unforeseen scheduling conflict." Close Enemies also announced the release of a brand new single, "More Than I Could Ever Need," which is set to be released on August 8, 2025, via TLG|ROCK, distributed by Virgin Music Group.

The tour is branded as "An Evening With Close Enemies – Live in Concert." Each performance is expected to feature a mix of original songs and classics from Aerosmith and The Babys.

Close Enemies initially shared the now-postponed 2025 tour announcement via an official Instagram post, which read:

"‼️Close Enemies 2025‼️If we are not coming to a city near you we will be soon as we are still adding dates to calendar. We also have limited Meet & Greets available from our link in the bio as well off our web page. *Aug 28th and 30th we will be opening for Tom Keifer 🤘🏼and Aug 29th we open for Winger 🤘🏼Looking forward to seeing you…LFG!"

According to reports, Close Enemies have mentioned a scheduling conflict as the official reason for pushing their fall 2025 California tour dates to early 2026. No further details have been disclosed. However, insiders close to the band reportedly say the change allows for "better alignment with production and creative planning." The January 2026 run will retain the same venues in California.

Close Enemies came as a new project by Tom Hamilton, Aerosmith's bassist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. The band also features drummer Tony Brock (of The Babys and Rod Stewart fame), touring guitarists Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow, Don Henley) and Trace Foster, and Chasen Hampton, former child star of the 1990s Mickey Mouse Club and co-founder of the pop group The Party.
