Why did Jessie J cry after her Wembley show? Singer opens up before breast cancer surgery

Jessie J got emotional after performing her last show before she began her breast cancer treatment. The Bang Bang singer shared the news of her early breast cancer diagnosis on June 3 in a video on Instagram.

While performing at the Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on June 15, the singer opened up and revealed:

"Today this show is my last show before I go and beat breast cancer. So it's so special to me, you have no idea. And this will be my last show before I go and have surgery and all the things."

Jessie also showed gratitude by being appreciative towards her life, her fans, her son, and her career. She additionally mentioned her parents, partner, band, and crew for all the support by saying:

"My family, my band, my crew, my people. We are so lucky, we have so much to live for, so much joy, so much, so many things to do."

The singer performed her song "Living My Best Life" and dedicated it to the fans who are going through a tough time.


Jessie J shares moments from the Wembley show on Instagram

On June 16, Jessie J uploaded an Instagram reel with the caption,

"One of my favourite shows I have ever done in the past 15 years of this beautiful crazy life of mine. Wow. 🥹 The love 80,000 people showed me yesterday was the exact definition of 🫀🔋 Thank you."

Jessie continued,

"I am so lucky to feel that support. And anyone else going through cancer right now. I am sharing it with you. I’m throwing hands at my cancer and yours. 🤺"

The reel comprised clips of Jessie performing, talking to the audience, and tearing up and hugging people after the show. The video instantly got the attention of her fans and friends, who showered support and love on the singer in the comments.

Television presenter, actor, and model Denrele Edun showed admiration for the singer in the comments,

"Jessie J, You’ve never just sung—you’ve ROARED! And now, even in this battle, your LIGHT still blinds the darkness. Cancer picked the wrong QUEEN to mess with! English singer and TV show host Rochelle Humes and musical artist Nata Smirina also commented on the reel, sending love to the singer.


As per Jessie J's Instagram posts and stories, the singer will now proceed with surgery as part of her breast cancer treatment.
