AM I THE DRAMA? is set for a September 19, 2025, release, and Cardi B has gotten hands-on with its marketing. In a new clip, the rapper was seen sporting a black hoodie on the streets of New York trying to sell exclusive versions of the album on vinyl and CDs.
Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds plays in the background plays in the background as Cardi B calls on passersby to buy her wares for $9.99. The New York-born rapper wrote in the video’s caption:
“My label said I gotta get out in these streets and sell my album.”
An X user (@risklessmusic) responded:
“Your label is overly using you.”
Others implied that it wasn’t in Cardi B's place to market the album herself:
@benjamins_st added:
“How many artists do you see on the streets promoting an album?
@vixtoriousx stated:
“I bet they said it just like that, and you took it literally.”
Some X users commended the artist for going all out for her project:
@femalerapgamee praised:
“old-fashioned promo, love to see it.”
@iamDominicHorne added:
“I ain’t knocking this. This is a genius rollout.”
More details about the upcoming AM I THE DRAMA?

The Bodak Yellow rapper hasn’t shied away from promoting her upcoming album. A day after the September 2, 2025, ruling of the court in her assault and battery case, Cardi B began selling a courtroom edition of the AM I THE DRAMA? album.
The rapper took to the streets in a black shirt and red hair. In the lighthearted video, the rapper begs fans to help her promote her album, adding that she is a single mom of three. Cardi stated that she was integrating the viral memes from her appearance in court as album covers for a limited time by popular demand.
“They cost 9.99, and just because I won the verdict, guess what I still gotta pay these lawyers,” she explained. “So if you could donate $9.99, these will be costing $9.99, please buy these.”
In an earlier interview with Billboard, Cardi B had emphasised that she was the sole provider for her three children:
"This summer, I haven't even put my feet in a pool. I do everything for my kids. I'm the only provider, and you know what? Ain't no complaining about it," she continued. "I love them so much, and they ground me."
AM I THE DRAMA? is the follow-up to the singer’s debut album Invasion of Privacy, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 and set multiple streaming records. The critically acclaimed album also won Best Rap Album at the Grammy Awards 2019.
