OLTL alum Renée Elise Goldsberry lands Disney role

One Life To Live's Renée Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline Williamson) will be voicing a guest role on Disney Junior's The Lion Guard.

One Life To Live's Renée Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline Williamson), who currently stars as Angelica Schuyler Church in Broadway's Hamilton, has landed a voice-over role for Disney Junior's The Lion Guard.

TV Line reports that the Tony Award-winning actress will play Dhahabu the Golden Zebra, a charismatic leader of a group of the black and white striped animals, during season two of the hit children's show. And the role is a bit like going home for Goldsberry, whose Broadway debut was actually playing Nala in The Lion King.

Executive produced by Ford Riley, The Lion Guard airs daily on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. For 2016 to date, it is the #1 series across preschooler-dedicated TV networks in Total Viewers, Kids 2-5, Boys 2-5, and Adults/Women 18-49.
