As per Trump's statement, Musk is going against him because he didn’t like the bill because it would remove the EV (electric vehicle) mandate. According to Trump, keeping the EV mandate would cost the country billions.
Trump and Elon Musk had a friendly bond and often praised each other in public. Their relationship seemed strong, with moments like Musk visiting the White House with his child while Trump promoted Tesla.
However, this ongoing argument has led to several tweets by Trump on Truth Social and Elon Musk on X (formerly Twitter). Amidst the ongoing feud, Ashley St. Clair, Musk's 13th baby mother, posted on X,
"hey @realDonaldTrump lmk if u need any breakup advice"
Ashley’s tweet was allegedly mocking the fallout between Trump and Musk, comparing it to a breakup.
Ashley St. Clair reveals having a baby with Elon Musk
Earlier this year in February, Ashley St. Clair uploaded a post on X revealing having a child with Musk. Her statement in the post read,
"Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that the tabloid media intend to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause."
Weeks later, Elon replied to a post surrounding Ashley.
"I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year."
Stating that she had asked Musk to do a paternity test, which he refused. Ashley replied to the money claim by adding,
"And you weren’t sending *me* money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary… until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for “disobedience.” But you’re really only punishing your son."
According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, a paternity test confirmed that Elon Musk is the father of Ashley St. Clair’s son. He is Musk's 13th child and is named Romulus.
Elon Musk claims Trump would have lost the election without him
On June 5, Elon indirectly claimed that Trump's presidential win was because of his support. The tweet read,
"Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate."
After a series of tweets against Trump, Donald Trump explained his side on Truth Social, stating,
"I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress. It’s a Record Cut in Expenses, $1.6 Trillion Dollars, and the Biggest Tax Cut ever given."
He continued,
"If this Bill doesn’t pass, there will be a 68% Tax Increase, and things far worse than that. I didn’t create this mess, I’m just here to FIX IT. This puts our Country on a Path of Greatness. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
As per Elon Musk, he wasn’t informed or consulted about the One Big Beautiful Bill Act before its passage.
