"The truth will come out": Elon Musk makes bombshell statement against Trump being in 'Epstein files' 

On June 5, Elon Musk posted a new statement on X against Donald Trump, stating,

"Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!"

The thread continued,

"Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out."

The mention of the Epstein files refers to documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein was an American financier and child sex offender who was charged with sex trafficking. He died in jail in 2019.

These sex-trafficking files, which Elon Musk mentioned, reportedly include court papers and supposed client lists. Some believe this list includes powerful people who might have been involved. However, many of these documents are still sealed or haven’t been made public to date.

As per Elon Musk's statement, Donald Trump is one of the names listed in these hidden files. Musk also hinted through his tweet that this could be the real reason why the documents haven’t been released yet. However, these claims are not proven because no real proof against Trump has been found yet.

An old photo of Elon Musk and Ghislaine Maxwell resurfaces online

After the Epstein files came to light, many online users found a photo of Musk with convicted sex offender and Epstein's ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell was closely linked to Jeffrey Epstein and was found guilty in 2021 of helping him traffic underage girls.

The photo has resurfaced on social media many times, with the latest in June 2025. In the photo, Musk is seen next to Maxwell while both smile at the camera. However, Musk had earlier downplayed the photo, saying it was just a photobomb and nothing more.

Donald Trump replies to Elon Musk

After Musk talked publicly about the Epstein files directed towards Trump, Trump posted a long message on his Truth Social account saying,

"I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress. It’s a Record Cut in Expenses, $1.6 Trillion Dollars, and the Biggest Tax Cut ever given."

He continued,

"If this Bill doesn’t pass, there will be a 68% Tax Increase, and things far worse than that. I didn’t create this mess, I’m just here to FIX IT. This puts our Country on a Path of Greatness. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

The fight between Elon Musk and Donald Trump started because of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, a long law passed in May 2025.
