Kanye West has commented on the ongoing feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump. The world’s richest man and the President of the United States are having a public falling out.

The issues between the former close allies reportedly began when Musk criticized the congressional budget bill on June 3, 2025. Since then, the businessman and the President have traded words online and levied several accusations against each other.

Kanye West tweeted about the drama between the public figures and seemed to implore the parties to take the peaceful route:

“Brooooooo please nooooooooo. We love you both so much.”

On June 3, 2025, Musk shared his thoughts on the congressional budget bill, describing it as “massive, outrageous and pork-filled”:

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those of you that voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it."

In the Oval Office, the President shared his opinion on Musk’s criticism of the bill, saying that he was “very disappointed in Musk.” The billionaire reportedly responded, stating that without his help in the election, the president-elect couldn’t have won and labelled Trump’s actions as ingratitude.

Trump took to his social media network, Truth Social and seemingly threatened Musk’s businesses, Starlink and SpaceX:

“The easiest way to save money in our budget, billions and billions of dollars, is to terminate Elon’s governmental subsidies and contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!”

The president added in a follow-up post on June 5, 2025 that he didn’t mind that his former ally had “turned against him” adding that he should have done so years ago and gave reasons why the contentious congress bill was one of the greatest ever presented.

Elon Musk responded to the not-so-subtle threat by Trump and announced that his Space X company would begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft, which was used to transport NASA astronauts. Musk predicted that Trump’s tariffs would cause a recession.

Elon Musk also alleged on X that the reason for the delay in the publication of the Epstein files was because Trump’s name was on it. It has been reported that the continuous back and forth between the former friends has affected Musk’s Tesla. The company plunged more than 14%, losing over 100 billion in market valuation.

Elon Musk resigned from his position as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency on May 30, 2025, to focus on running his businesses. Prior to their public falling out, Trump and Musk were close friends. Musk began supporting Trump after the latter survived an assassination attempt at his Pennsylvania rally in July 2024. He endorsed Trump at rallies and stood behind him as he took his oath of office. Trump purchased a red Tesla from Musk in April 2025 to show support for his company.
