Regina Ventura, mother to Sean "Diddy" Combs' former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, took the witness stand in the ongoing trial case against the music executive on May 20, 2025. Ventura made allegations against the music executive and corroborated statements made by her daughter in her earlier testimony.

She told the court that she obtained a home equity loan to pay Sean Combs, who had threatened to release explicit videos of her daughter, Cassie. According to the witness, Combs was furious that Cassandra was dating rapper Kid Cudi after he had spent money on her.

Regina Ventura said on the stand:

“I was physically sick. I did not understand it; the sex tape threw me. He was trying to hurt my daughter. We took a home equity loan, and that was the only way we could get the money.”

Her testimony supports that of her daughter, Cassie Ventura who claimed in an earlier testimony that the Bad Boy label boss had threatened to release explicit videos of her because of her relationship with Kid Cudi.

Notably, Diddy's defense lawyer did not cross-examine Regina Ventura.

Regina Ventura alleged that she saw bruises on her daughter in 2011 in her testimony in Diddy’s trial

Regina Ventura stated that Cassie visited her Connecticut home for the holidays in 2011, and she saw bruises, which she photographed. The images were shown to the jury during her testimony.

She alleged that she was scared for her daughter and wired the $20,000 to Sean Diddy Combs, who subsequently returned it after four or five days.

On May 14, 2025, Cassie Ventura testified that she began dating Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, in 2011 because she wasn’t “in the greatest place” in her relationship with Diddy. The Me & U singer stated that Combs learned of the relationship after a “freak off” and lunged at her with a wine opener between his fingers.

She fled to a hotel where she placed a call to Kid Cudi via a burner phone. She later went back to Combs to try and talk things out with him, but was physically assaulted by the music executive:

“Sean kicked me in the back. I fell on the floor and then left. I had a large bruise on my back and bruises on other places — he literally kicked me with the bottom of his foot,”

Combs reportedly threatened to hurt Scott and herself:

“He mentioned when we were out of the country that Scott’s car would be blown up and he wanted his friends to see it,”

Kid Cudi’s car eventually blew up in his driveway. Ventura stopped dating the rapper out of fear for their safety.

Kid Cudi is expected to testify this week at Sean Diddy Combs’ trial for sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
