Cassie Ventura had a swollen eye, busted lip after room encounter with Diddy, makeup artist testifies

The 55-year-old music mogul Sean Diddy Combs continued his trial on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Diddy, whose charges include sex trafficking and racketeering, was arrested on September 16, 2024, by U.S. Homeland Security after a grand jury indicted him. His trial officially began on May 5, 2025, in the Federal District Court in Lower Manhattan, New York.

The Thursday trial continues after numerous witnesses gave shocking testimonies on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. On Thursday, taking the stand was Mylah Morales, whose testimony aligned with Cassie Ventura’s claims of physical abuse from Combs. Morales, who served as Ventura’s make-up artist, testified that Diddy was violent with Cassie during the weekend of the 2010 Grammy and left Cassie with a swollen eye, busted lips, and knots on her head.

Mylah Morales took the witness stand after American rapper Kid Cudi, known for his hit song Pursuit of Happiness, gave his testimony. Mylah revealed that she first met Cassie Ventura when she was just sixteen years old on a photo shoot in New York. She claimed she had worked for Sean Combs for five years- from 2000 to 2005—and had quit because she started working for other celebrities.

Morales testified that she started doing Cassie’s makeup regularly after she joined Bad Boy Records in 2007. During her eleven years of working with her, they became close, and she took the R&B singer as her younger sister.

The make-up artist recalled a moment when Diddy allegedly got physical with Cassie Ventura. She testified that it was during the weekend of the 2010 Grammy Awards, and she and the Long Way 2 Go hitmaker had just returned from a party at Prince’s residence. She testified that she was napping on the couch of the suite she shared with Cassie at the Beverly Hills Hotel and was woken up after “a little bit of commotion.”

She said Ventura walked into the suit and headed to her room, and Combs came in a few moments later, asking where she (Cassie) was.

“Where the f*** is she?”

Mylah Morales claimed an angry Diddy demanded before bursting into Ventura’s room and shutting the door. A few moments later, Mylah heard “yelling and screaming” before Diddy supposedly left the room and busted out of the suite angrily, leaving a distraught Cassie who came out with visible injuries, including a burst eye, bloodied lips, and head injuries.

“I was just frantic, and I didn't know what to do. She (Cassie) had a swollen eye and busted lip and knots on her head,” Mylah told the courtroom.

Morales claimed she took the singer to her home to recover and stay for a few days. She revealed she called a friend to come and check on Cassie as she feared the latter might be suffering from a concussion.

“My friend, who's a doctor, a medical doctor, I asked him to come the next day to make sure she didn't have a concussion.”

Mylah testified that the doctor had advised Cassie to be taken to the ER, but the latter refused. When asked why she (Mylah) didn't insist or call the police, Morales revealed they “were very afraid.”

“I feared for my life,” Mylah Morales added.

According to the makeup artist, she and Cassie never spoke of the alleged incident again.

Sean Combs' trial is concluded for the week but will continue next Tuesday after the conclusion of the Memorial Day weekend.
