D4vd Tesla Case: Rapper reportedly seen close to victim’s residence before she disappeared

TMZ has reported that singer D4vd was photographed standing about 6 minutes away from Celeste’s family home before her disappearance. Investigations are currently ongoing on D4vd’s Tesla case.

On September 9, 2025, authorities discovered cut-up human remains in a bag in a Tesla registered to D4vd, real name David Anthony Burke. The victim has been identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who went missing in April 2024.

A photo posted by TMZ showed D4vd interacting with a man holding a brown paper bag. Google Maps reportedly traced the singer’s spot in the photo to a stone's throw from Celeste’s house. An online photo also shows the singer with a girl, like Celeste Rivas. Reports also state that the 15-year-old has a tattoo on her finger that matches one on D4vd’s.

The police are trying to discover the identity of the person who drove the Tesla with the body in it by questioning people in the neighborhood and looking at security cameras. TMZ, in their September 17, 2025, article, alleged that they had received a tip that Celeste was the victim and contacted her mother.

The teenager’s mom told the news outlet that she became suspicious when she learnt that the body found in the Tesla had a Shhh tattoo on the right index finger. She added that Celeste had a boyfriend named David. D4vd cancelled his Seattle show the day Celeste’s body was formally identified.

According to authorities, the Romantic Homicide hitmaker claimed he didn’t know anything was wrong until the police informed him. When news of the discovery broke, he was on his Withering tour. He continued performing on his tour until September 17, 2025, when he cancelled the Seattle night show.

So far, it remains unclear whether the singer lent the Tesla out or the car was stolen. D4vd has not been named as a suspect.
