Did Boosie Badazz just end his legal battle with a plea deal in his gun case?

Boosie Badazz has accepted a plea deal in his gun case. The Wipe Me Down hitmaker revealed on X on August 4, 2025, that he was expediting his gun case with the feds by agreeing to a plea deal. The rapper, who was indicted on a gun possession charge in July 2025, shared that he had earlier believed the case to be over and was tired of battling the resurfaced charges:

"JUST ACCEPTED A PLEA FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ON MY GUN CASE. I THOUGHT THIS CASE WAS OVER N I WAS GOING TO GET ON WITH MY LIFE BUT 'GOD DONT MAKE MISTAKES' N IM TIRED OF FIGHTING."

Boosie Badazz, real name Torrence Hatch, was originally charged with possession of a firearm as a felon in 2023. In July 2024, the case was dropped. However, the rapper was indicted on the same gun charge in 2025.

Boosie tweeted that his family supported his decision to accept the plea deal. He also asked for prayers from his fans:

"TALKED TO MY FAMILY, N THIS IS THE RIGHT DECISION," the rapper continued. "TO ALL MY FANS ACROSS THE WORLD, SAY A PRAYER FOR YA BOY N GO GET THE NEW ALBUM #wordsofarealone."

Boosie Badazz was arrested in San Diego in 2023 during a traffic stop. The police discovered two handguns on the rapper. The state charge against the rapper was dropped, and he was charged by the feds for possession of firearms by a felon.

A video of the rapper posing with a gun on his waistband was also reviewed. As a result, he was required to wear an ankle monitor and post a $100,000 bail.

He received news that his case had been dropped in July 2024 with joy. According to Courthouse News, Boosie, in tears outside a San Diego federal courtroom, told reporters:

“This situation made me see who was down with me and who wasn’t. Ninety percent of people thought I was going to prison, but God had a different plan.”

The elated 42-year-old had promised to take his family on a vacation. The rapper received shocking news in July 2025 that he had been indicted on a gun charge in addition to a new drug-related charge.

Following Boosie Badazz's plea deal on his gun possession charge, it has not been revealed whether the rapper will serve time or not.
