Singer D4vd has halted his Withered tour amidst investigations into the murder of Celeste Rivas, a 15-year-old whose dismembered body was found in a Tesla registered to him. The Romantic Homicide crooner was on tour when news of a body in his vehicle broke.
He continued to hold shows and perform until September 17, 2025, when he cancelled his Seattle show after the body was formally identified as Celeste.
TMZ reports that D4vd has canceled his weekend shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles. The singer is also unlikely to proceed with his international shows scheduled for October and November 2025.
More details on D4vd and Celeste Rivas’ case as record label reportedly pauses release of upcoming album
As new details of the case unfold on the internet, D4vd’s record label has seemingly paused the release and promotional activities of Withered’s Deluxe version.
Kalli Uchis, with whom D4vd released the track Crashing in February 2025, posted on Instagram that she is pulling her song with the singer. D4vd has also been removed as a participant at an upcoming Grammy event where he was slated to discuss his forthcoming album.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office stated that Celeste’s body was severely decomposed and added that she had been dead for an “extended period of time.” The deceased’s mother told police that Celeste had been missing since April 2024 and had a boyfriend named D4vd.
Police report that the deceased had a tattoo on her index finger that matches another on D4vd’s. Videos circulating online purportedly show the singer at a location close to Celeste’s home some months before her disappearance. Other videos show the 15-year-old and the singer together on different occasions.
Authorities have continued to comb the neighborhood where the car was abandoned in hopes of finding footage to identify the driver. A Los Angeles home linked to the singer has also been searched. Investigators reportedly collected hair samples and looked for blood traces inside the property. Other items were collected from inside the house.
