The highly anticipated federal trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs resumed today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, following a brief pause for the Memorial Day holiday. The trial, which officially began with Jury selection on May 5, 2025, and opening arguments and witness testimony on May 12, 2025, was paused following Thursday's testimonies last week.

Sean Diddy Combs, who is facing five felony charges, including racketeering, two counts of sex trafficking, and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, was arrested on September 16, 2024. Sixteen witnesses have taken the stand following the conclusion of last week’s testimonies. Starting today’s trial was Diddy’s former assistant, Capricorn Clark, who is the seventeenth witness to give their testimony in this trial.

Taking the stand, Clark testified that Diddy had restricted her movements as his employee. She recalled how the Bad Boy Records founder had once told her not to leave his Miami house in the summer of 2006. According to Clark, Combs had told her immediately after she arrived, “I don’t care what goes on this weekend; you are not to leave this house,” she said, as reported by CNN.

Clark recalled that her movements were monitored during her time in Miami and claimed she couldn't spend more than a certain amount of time outside the house, even when she went on errands.

“See, your problem is you want a life, and you can’t have that here,” she claimed Combs had told her when she spent over an hour away from the house.

She testified that she confided in his chef about hating it there, and the chef informed Diddy of her comments. Clark added that Diddy immediately got angry and “charged” at her, beginning to push her using about 75% of his strength, demanding that she leave his house.

Clark added that after some intervention from his security people, Combs left her after pushing her back 30 yards. She was asked to pack her things and leave. Following that incident, Clark claimed she quit because “it was crossing my boundary.”

During her time on the witness stand, Capricorn Clark spoke about her experiences working with the Bad Boy Records founder. She revealed that she worked unhealthy hours and couldn't get up to four hours of sleep, leading to stress-induced alopecia. She told the courtroom that Sean Combs owed her $80,000 for three months of overtime. She revealed that an HR representative presented Diddy with a document that explained how much he owed her.

“He ripped up the paper,” she said, as reported by CNN.

She added that she was never compensated.

Clark also gave detailed testimony of when she was accused of stealing Comb’s jewellery. She recalled that she was assigned to hold onto the jewellery when they travelled from New York to Miami, but upon reaching the airport, she realised the jewellery bag had gone missing.

According to her testimony, Clark was held back in New York and was taken to an empty office space where she was questioned for five days straight by a man she described as “very wide”.

Capricorn Clark alleged that she was questioned using a lie-detector test after Sean’s bodyguard searched her apartment. “I was petrified,” she told the court, adding that she couldn't calm down even after the “very wide” man who was administering the test told her to because the result was inconclusive.

“I’m not getting a good reading. You need to know you’re going to be in the East River if I can't get a reading on this,” Clark recalled the man saying, as reported by CNN.

Clark testified that the lie detection test lasted five days, after which she was released and called back to work. She claimed that Combs never mentioned the incident or the stolen jewellery again; to this day, she doesn't know if the jewellery was ever found.
