Social media influencer Kayla Little, known for creating Disney-themed content, was allegedly fired just one day after being hired at Walt Disney World, citing 'poor performance' as the reason she revealed. She shared the news with her followers in a TikTok video.
While her firing was allegedly attributed to 'poor performance' according to her TikTok video, many fans believe her social media presence may have also played a role in the sudden decision. Kayla also uploaded a video from the cast member parking lot, which some fans believe may have played a role in her termination.
Kayla Little first revealed the hiring news on July 10 in an Instagram video, saying:
"I just got the email, and you know it's a Disney email when it says do not reply. Action required. So I'm so nervous."
She further revealed that she was set to join them as a part-time attractions cast member on August 8.
News of Disney employee layoffs surfaces through social media
Earlier this month, another social media user named Kayla revealed being laid off from the entertainment production company. In the announcement post she wrote:
"Two months ago, I received the news that I was being laid off from my role at Disney due to accounting department wide lay-offs. Mentally and physically, it has taken a toll on me. I have felt like my life has been ripped away from me. I have felt lost and broken. This was more than losing a job. It was losing a huge part of who I am."
In her goodbye note, she revealed that she has accepted a new job in Orlando.
Additionally, one more influencer shared a video on Instagram on August 22 with a caption that read:
"Lost count of how many people Disney fired for showing SO much less than they did. The double standard & hypocrisy is egregious. Give those people their jobs back then since you wanna switch up only when it’s convenient to you🤷🏻♀️."
These sudden firings have also led fans to wonder how the company is allegedly treating influencers who work for them and how secure their jobs are. As of now, the company has not provided any official comment on the claims being discussed online.
According to multiple reports, Kayla Little is also planning to take legal action with the support of a union representative.
