She wrote:
“I’ve been struggling with severe health anxiety, and it’s something I don’t talk about enough. It’s more than just worrying it’s a constant fight with my own mind. Some days it feels like I’m sinking, stuck in a fight-or-flight state I can’t escape.”
Barker has often shared about her lifelong struggle with her followers. This shows how she is trying to cope with anxiety as she continues to share her experiences publicly and connect with others who are in a similar situation. In 2024, she was hospitalized when she had a severe panic attack.
All we know about Alabama Barker and her anxiety issues
In her recent TikTok post, Alabama Barker once again spoke on facing anxiety and how it affects her life. According to a clip shared on the social media platform, she wrote:
"My symptoms are real and scary: dizziness, head pressure, eye floaters, light sensitivity, derealization, and extreme fatigue. I have low iron, I can’t drive, I avoid cars, and I miss out on normal things people don’t even think twice about. Even when doctors say I’m okay, I don’t feel okay. I’m sharing this because health anxiety is invisible but very real and no one should feel alone in it, this is something I felt was important to share we are all in this together!"
A report in TooFab stated that in August 2023, the rapper called out body-shaming trolls in a TikTok video. She then addressed her weight gain issues, stating that she was diagnosed with a "thyroid problem and an autoimmune disease." In the video, she was seen slamming them. She said:
"First of all, let me eat you up because I'm so fat," she said. "Paparazzi will purposely take pictures of you with your mouth open middle of a sentence and any ugly picture they can get of you just for the views ... You guys also act like I've gained 1,000 pounds. It's like 5 or 10 pounds. It's so normal for a lot of girls. Weight fluctuates."

In December 2024, Alabama Barker was rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles when she experienced a panic attack. A report in the Hola magazine indicated that the doctors informed her that she was experiencing nicotine withdrawal from abruptly stopping.
According to a report in TMZ, Barker reportedly quit vaping after she was advised to do so as it could affect her voice. She turned 19 last year in December. Her father, Travis Barker, shared a heartfelt birthday post for Barker, sharing her photos from over the years.
