Tensions flared in the aftermath of the New York Knicks' victory over the Boston Celtics as a huge fight broke out between the two sets of fans. Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals will go down in history as a memorable one, as the Knicks edged out the Celtics by the narrowest of margins to win the game 91-90.

The game appeared done until the Knicks turned the tables in their direction for the second consecutive game, leaving the Celtics' season in shambles. Earlier in the evening, reports began to come out that some Knicks fans had refused to leave the stadium, which didn't sit well with the home fans who were already upset at the result. Once the Celtics fans got involved in the action, things got out of hand and led to multiple incidents of fights being reported as a result.

Clips have been doing the rounds on social media, which show both sets of fans hitting each other, even as the security officials struggled to contain the chaos around them. This incident also caught the attention of fans on social media, who took to calling out the perpetrators for letting their emotions get the best of them:
