Hailey Bieber has officially approved Skylrk's joint case design!

The Rhode founder appeared on GQ for an interview segment where she was asked about Skylrk's phone design and whether she gave it a green light. Answering the question, the model replied:

"I did approve the joint case! I did, yes. And it’s just been a fun process to see him in his bag with the Skylrk stuff and what he’s doing, what he’s building, and being able to both have things that we’re really excited about and passionate about alongside each other and supporting each other. I just could not ask for more."

The idea came from Justin's Instagram post uploaded in May, in which he featured a rough design of an iPhone joint case with the caption:

"Workin on the moldingggggggggggggg please approve this idea @haileybieber lmfao"

The design was originally inspired by Hailey Bieber's phone lip case, which went viral on social media after its release.

Hailey Bieber talks about how she came up with the lip case design

The Rhode lip case comes with a silicone body with a built-in lip gloss compartment behind it and retails for $38 on the brand's website. When asked if it was her design idea in the interview with GQ, Hailey Bieber revealed:

"It was my idea. We were sitting in a meeting, and I had one of those sticky cases on the back of my phone, the suction thing, and I kept sticking the lip gloss onto the suction."

She continued:

"And I’m holding it up and I’m looking around the room at everyone in the meeting and we were kind of like, Oh! I’m like, can someone quickly Google if this exists? Thinking a hundred percent there has to be something on Amazon. And it didn’t exist! So I was like, let’s try to do it as quickly as we can. And that’s how the phone case was born."

Earlier this year, Hailey sold her brand, Rhode, to ELF Cosmetics for a billion-dollar deal. Bieber revealed that it was never her aim to sell out her company except if it was a billion dollars, and ELF ticked all the boxes, which helped her make the decision. The model added that seeing how quickly her products were selling at Sephora left her surprised, adding:

"With Sephora, I personally wasn’t expecting that to be the result. Obviously, I really wanted to push it and have it be the best launch that we could have it be. I really wanted it to be the biggest launch in Sephora’s history."

Currently, Hailey Bieber works as the chief creative officer and head of innovation in her brand, Rhode.
