News about the Rain Down on Me hitmaker GloRilla being arrested for alleged felony drug possession in Georgia broke on Thursday, July 24, 2025. The arrest happened after an attempted burglary took place in the rapper’s home on Sunday, July 20.
While investigating the robbery, the police reportedly found marijuana and a controlled substance in her home, leading to her arrest.
GloRilla took to her official X account to share her opinion on the incident. In the tweet shared to her X account on Thursday, June 24, GloRilla called her arrest “crazy” and said the police were focusing on the wrong thing. In her opinion, they should focus more on the robbery rather than the drugs found in her home.
“CRAZY My House got Home Invaded Saturday While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA all star game & instead of Focusing on finding the Suspects, they focus on some cannabis,” she wrote.
“1. So no, I wasn’t busted 2. My house got robbed 3. I wasn’t home. Long story short, my house gets home invaded, and Im the only one that gets arrested. So that’s tea,” she concluded the tweet.
Responding to her tweet, fans of the rapper were outraged and concerned on her behalf.
