Jonathan Joss's husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, is standing up for Joss on social media. The voice actor was shot dead, reportedly by his neighbor, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, on June 1. As per the statement given by Joss's husband, Tristan, the couple went to their Texas home to collect the victim's fund check.

During their visit, Joss saw the mortals of his pet, after which he started yelling and got into a fight with Ceja, which ended in Ceja reportedly shooting him. Ceja was caught by the police and was charged with first-degree murder.

On June 4, Tristen posted an update on Jonathan Joss's Facebook account that read,

"Am I surprised the police investigated themselves and found out they did nothing wrong? Am I surprised they released my husband's killer after I spoke out about them? No. I have no faith in the criminal justice system. I only have faith that those outside a uniform who loved my husband will see to justice that doesn't cost the American taxpayers."

Additionally, he also uploaded a video on his TikTok account named Justice For Joss, in which he said,

"Jonathan Joss is my husband. I don’t say ‘was’ because he will always be my husband. He will always be the love of my life"

As of now, Tristan is using the new TikTok account he recently created to give more updates on the situation to Joss's fans and bring justice to him after the fatal shooting.

Tristan speaks out against SAPD in a new TikTok video about Jonathan Joss

While announcing the tragic death of Jonathan Joss, Tristan also wrote,

"Throughout that time we were harassed regularly by individuals who made it clear they did not accept our relationship. Much of the harassment was openly homophobic."

He further added,

"Jonathan is my husband. He gave me more love in our time together than most people ever get. We were newlyweds. We picked Valentines Day. We were in the process of looking for a trailer and planning our future. He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other."

After the tragic incident, the San Antonio Police Department also uploaded a Facebook post. The post remembered Jonathan Joss and paid tribute to him while giving details on the situation by stating,

"Although we arrested a suspect, our homicide detectives continue to follow every lead to fully understand what led to this senseless act. In Texas, hate crimes are addressed through penalty enhancements rather than separate charges."

After the SAPD statement, Tristan called out the police in the TikTok video by saying,

"We won’t stop talking about this. I'm not going to let the SAPD or anyone else silence the fact that this was a hate crime, and I just won’t be silenced. I may not be as loud as my husband, but I carry his strength with me. I won’t stop fighting for what I know is right and for my love."

Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja is currently out of police custody after paying a $200,000 bond.
