Britney Spears is opening up about her past trauma and how it affected her.
In a recent Instagram post, uploaded on October 19, the Criminal singer talked about the movie Maleficent while reflecting on her past trauma. The movie was released in 2014, starring Angelina Jolie. Talking about it, Spears wrote in the caption:
"My back… my blades… my wings… remember the movie Maleficent such an incredible movie!!!! Remember the king tried to kill her but instead a guy secretly took her wings but anything from the father in heaven the real father whom is the one I only claim who loves unconditionally…"
Britney added further that she found Maleficent fascinating, noting that anything holy, like the wings, can never be taken or forgotten.
Spears reflected on her past traumas, saying she was once forced to live without privacy or freedom of movement for four months. However, the singer stated that she didn’t include every detail in her book, The Woman In Me, calling it an experience that is too painful to fully share.
Speaking of her dancing posts, she continued:
"I do feel the logic and mindfulness in my body as ONE was 100 percent murdered and destroyed I couldn’t dance or move for 5 months… anyways I know my post and dancing seemed silly but it made me remember how to fly…"
Britney Spears expresses gratitude for life
Britney Spears recalled swimming with her children on her back until they were four and five, a time that made her feel incredibly strong. She reflected on past hardships, saying she feels her “wings were taken” and that she suffered brain damage long ago. Despite it all, she has moved on and considers herself blessed to be alive.
Speaking of the Vatican, she added:
"still to this day I haven’t flown like I use to do you think if I go to the Vatican I might find something quite interesting there?????? Its fun to tell stories at this point because this all might sound so silly but with what garbage literally is being said about me I said why not bring SUBSTANCE to the table"
Spears, in her post, further mentioned how cruel people can be after a makeup artist once commented on her back size after she showed it to them. However, she didn't reveal any name in her post.
The post, in which Spears opened up about her past struggles, comes amid her recent jabs at ex-husband Kevin Federline. Federline’s memoir, You Thought You Knew, is scheduled for release on October 21.
