Elon Musk’s estranged daughter, Vivian Wilson, has updated the world about her financial status. During her appearance at the Teen Vogue 2025 summit on Saturday, September 20, 2025, the young social media personality revealed that she is financially independent and is making enough money from her modelling career.
“I’m financially independent. Love that for me. I’m making money now.”
In an exclusive interview, Vivian Wilson told E! News that she wasn't a fan of people who made assumptions about her.
“I just don't like it when people say things about me. Like, assume things about me that aren't true. But people are going to say what they want, and that's fine, I guess. Yeah, it kind of must have bothered me because it wasn't true. That was the thing.”
She added:
"People have a lot of assumptions, and you just kinda have to deal with that.”

Vivian Wilson opened up about her life, finances, and familial relationship during her exclusive interview with Teen Vogue in March 2025. The 21-year-old model revealed to the magazine that, contrary to people's opinions, she wasn't making money from being famous or getting money from her father.
“I haven't made any money from being famous at all. I have made zero dollars and zero cents. I do live in a lot of people's heads rent-free, though.”
She added that she considered going into live streaming to generate income.
“I feel like Twitch streaming would be so much fun…. I don't feel like the world needs another Twitch streamer, but [I'd] love to do it.”
Vivian Wilson also spoke about her coming out journey as a transgender person. Her mum was very supportive when she broke the news. Unfortunately, Elon Musk wasn't as supportive.
“She [Her mom] was very supportive of my transition. She is a published writer of supernatural romance fiction, which is where I get all my Vivian-isms, of being cringe and chronically online. When I came out to her, she was like, 'Yeah, that figures.' She kind of [pieced it together], so when I came out, she pretended to be slightly surprised for 30 seconds and then was like, 'Yeah, honey. Okay.'”
When asked about Elon, she replied:
“No, he was not as supportive as my mom. First of all, I had not talked to him in months — in months — so I had to get f**king parental consent to get testosterone blockers and [hormone replacement therapy].”
Vivian Wilson came out as a transgender woman in 2020. She is the eldest of Elon Musk’s daughters with his first wife, Justine Wilson.
