Dylan Mulvaney changed hairstyles because she “turned ugly.” The social media personality and influencer revealed in a video shared on TikTok on August 17, 2025, that she cut off her locks and opted for brunette bangs because she was "not feeling really hot this summer."
Mulvaney, who began uploading videos about her daily life during the pandemic in 2020, urged fans in her recent TikTok upload to cut their hair into bangs:
"I haven't thought of myself as an influencer in a really long time, but I did just get bangs today. Couldn't recommend them more, I've never felt this cute before."
The TikTok star praised her new hairstyle by referencing the hit young adult Netflix series The Summer I Turned Pretty, saying she felt pretty again. Dylan Mulvaney also recommended that her followers try red lipstick for a fresh look:
"It's bought me three more summers of feeling pretty. I think a red lip helps too, so take that information as you will."
