"It’s so offensive and so incredibly mean": Britney Spears criticizes paparazzi after singer's photos go viral

Britney Spears is all out calling the paparazzi and sharing her own side on social media. In a video uploaded on November 20 on Instagram, the singer was seen talking to her fans, during which she said:

"And I just don’t like the way paparazzi always like… the worst pictures in the whole world. So, I can’t go anywhere. And it’s astoundingly different from what’s therefore there, obviously."

She added:

"It’s so offensive and so incredibly mean. And it’s like, they get paid a lot, a lot of money for that bad shot, you know?"

The video ended with her wishing Merry Christmas to her fans, before which she said:

"I'm a survivor; I've always been. So that's what it is, that's what it is."

Why did Britney Spears call out the paparazzi?

The video of Britney Spears calling out the paparazzi came after the Daily Mail published photos of her holding a champagne glass while wearing a white top, grey blazer, and jeans. She was also seen wearing bold red lipstick with open hair and sunglasses with a white scarf, the same scarf that she wore in the recent video she uploaded, calling out the people who took the photograph, calling it a bad shot.

Soon after the photos came out, people on the internet started worrying about how she looked, and a few even wondered if the person in the pictures was really Britney. However, from the video of Britney, it's clear that it was her in the photos.

However, this is not the first time Britney Spears has mentioned the photos taken of her. In 2020, the Toxic singer uploaded a photo of herself in a checked shirt and jeans with sandals and glasses. The caption of the post read:

"I wanted to show you what I really look like on a daily basis 🤓 !!!! I can get insecure when photos are taken of me that I’m not prepared for ….. so I have always put so much effort into my appearance … but you know sometimes it’s nice to not try so hard and pull down your walls every now and then !!!!"

In a 2021 post, Britney Spears again opened up, but this time about the documentaries published about her, which she was not happy with, writing:

"I think the world is more interested in the negative 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ !!!! I mean … isn't this supposed to be a business and society about THE FUTURE 🤧🤧🤧 ???? Why highlight the most negative and traumatizing times in my life from forever ago ???? I mean DAMN"
