On October 16, Britney Spears uploaded an Instagram post sharing her take on love and relationships with children. In the post, she wrote:
"It takes two seconds to call the one you love there’s 24 hours in a day and 365 days a year you can tell your child you are proud of them and love them even if they haven’t done anything !!!"
She further added:
"Ps I genuinely wonder what that would feel like I’m serious !!! Would I feel more confident and not alone and prettier and not secretly cleverly abused to the ppint it would drive anyone crazy !!!"
The post came shortly after she slammed her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, claiming he reached out to her only once in six years and didn’t invite her to their son’s birthday, which was celebrated in Louisiana during their two-week stay.
Britney ended her caption with a note, saying that if she had a family that respected her, she genuinely believes the world would be a completely different place.
Britney Spears fears Kevin Federline's memoir, You Thought You Knew, could hurt her bond with her sons
Kevin Federline has made a number of claims against the Criminal singer in his upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew. One claim, as reported in the New York Post, read that their sons:
"awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep— ‘Oh, you’re awake’ —with a knife in her hand. Then she’d turn around and pad off without explanation."
Another claim made by Kevin said Britney Spears was involved with another woman just a few weeks into her relationship with him. The couple got married in 2004 and were together for three years before divorcing in 2007.
One claim, in his memoir, stated that the singer consumed cocaine at an event while she was breastfeeding their sons. Another claim said that the night before their wedding, she called her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
In reply, Britney Spears uploaded a lengthy post on social media keeping her side. To know more, read this: "They treat me exactly the way my father used to": Britney Spears claps back at ex-husband Kevin Federline
A source, in a statement to Us Weekly, said:
"She's been overjoyed in her relationship with her boys, and Kevin’s allegations built another barrier she has to overcome with them now"
In another statement to the outlet earlier this week, the insider said:
"All she (Britney) cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism."
According to a source speaking to Us Weekly, the singer feels her ex is attempting to regain control over her through a conservatorship.
