“Kai Cenat is still hiding”: Fans in splits as Duke Dennis gets arrested mid hide and seek at Texas mall

Word on the street is that popular Twitch and YouTube star Duke Dennis has been arrested for playing hide and seek in a mall, and the internet finds it funny. The 31-year-old member of the AMP group was allegedly detained on August 2, 2025, at a closed mall in San Antonio after multiple warnings to vacate the premises went unheeded, according to USA Today.

Officers received complaints that Duke Dennis was causing disruptions. The security guards at the closed mall had advised the group, including Dennis, to vacate the premises, but they allegedly refused.

A statement from the police reads:

"An officer instructed the suspect to leave, and the suspect verbally and physically refused to leave the location," police said. "An officer instructed the suspect to place his hands behind his back and that he would be arrested for criminal trespassing on private property."

Dennis tried to flee the premises but was caught and apprehended. The online personality was charged with criminal trespassing and evading arrest.

Reports also state that an unnamed individual tried to intervene in Dennis’ arrest and pushed an officer as a result. The person was also arrested and charged with three counts of assault on an officer and another count of resisting public arrest.

Videos circulating on the internet show a man who appears to be Duke Dennis dressed in black and white, arrested by law enforcement. In the video, Kai Cenat can be seen on the floor above in a red shirt and black pants, recording the arrest.

Netizens on X are naturally poking fun at the absurdity of the situation.
