The word on the street is that Sean Diddy Combs and Kanye West are cooking up a project together. Sources told Page Six that the two popular rappers may release a full song soon, possibly an album together.

“Music was a salvation for him, Diddy, like it was for Ye. Diddy’s looking to make amends. I think a song would be the best way to communicate a change,” the source close to Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, said to the news outlet.
“Be on the lookout for the song,” the source added while commending Kanye West for maintaining his relationship with Diddy.
“Ye is brave enough to touch a hot [rod like] Diddy right now. I don’t think any other artists would.”

Kanye West's recent collaboration with Diddy's son

Kanye West has been vocal about his cooperation with the Combs family. A few months ago, the Can't Tell Me Nothing hitmaker shared a snippet of a song he was working on with Diddy, titled I'll Be Missing You. The track included a recording of a phone call between Diddy and Ye, during which Ye checked on Diddy while he was in prison.

“You be careful out there ’cause they definitely trying to end us. They can’t do it and they ain’t gonna do it. I’m going to beat this s–t and get next to you,” Diddy said in the recording.

A few months after this teaser, King Combs, Diddy's son, released an EP titled Never Stop on June 27, 2025. The EP credited Kanye West on all tracks, but he was vocally featured on only one track, People Like Me."

Never Stop contains seven tracks, including Lonely Roads Ft. Diddy, JAAS & North West, Kim, People Like Me, Diddy Free, Repeat Me, The List, and Souls Outro.”

Diddy Free is a track from the album that has gained widespread recognition due to it being a “free Diddy” anthem. The chorus reads:

“N*ggas ain't goin' to sleep 'til we see Diddy free/ N*ggas ain't goin' to sleep 'til we see Diddy free.”

The song is ultimately a support anthem for Diddy. In the song, King questions the credibility of the trial, slams the onslaught of media on his family, and takes a dig at the witnesses.

“F*ck the world, critics, and the witness/ Face clean, they tryna dirt the image (F*ck)/ Sittin' n*ggas down that stood on business (You can't stop us though)/ I'm on hot's, I ain't cool with you n*ggas/ It's always somethin', don't got sh*t to prove.”
“Like, damn, why the f*ck I'm on these tabloids?/ If it ain't me, it's my pops or my b*tch (Pops or my b*tch).”

Kanye West attended Diddy’s trial on Friday, June 13, 2025, to show his support for the rapper during challenging times.
