King Combs released a new song titled Diddy Free just as his father’s highly publicised trial is wrapping up. Sean Combs was arrested on September 16, 2024, on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Combs’ trial began on May 5, 2025, with jury selection, while opening arguments and witness testimony began on May 12. Closing arguments for the trial ended on June 27, 2025, and the jury is expected to give their verdict next week.
While his father’s trial reaches its climax, King Combs released a new song that actively stresses Diddy’s innocence and calls for his release. Diddy Free features Kanye West, now known as Ye, who has been vocal about his support for the Bad Boy Records founder.
More details on King Combs’ “Diddy Free”
Diddy Free featuring Kanye West was released on Thursday, June 27, 2025, as a part of King Combs' seven-track EP titled Never Stop. The track was written by King Combs, The Inter Milan Ultras, Dave Blunts, Derrick Milano, and Ye, who also handled the production.
The song begins with the chorus sung by The Inter Milan Ultras.
“N*ggas ain't goin' to sleep 'til we see Diddy free/ N*ggas ain't goin' to sleep 'til we see Diddy free.”
In the first verse, King raps about the duality of people and how they try to play victim when things are not right.
“Look, when sh*t get sus', they try to play the victim/ Outspoken, I ain't keepin' sh*t in/ W's in the chat (Yeah), a n*gga winnin' (I see you winnin' though)/ Poppin' out, heads still spinnin' (Woo, woo)/ This million dollar smile got 'em grillin' me/ They be takin' shots, they can't trigger me, nah (Sh*t don't trigger me).”
He takes a shot at the trial as he throws the F word at the witnesses.
“F*ck the world, critics, and the witness/ Face clean, they tryna dirt the image (F*ck)/ Sittin' n*ggas down that stood on business (You can't stop us though)/ I'm on hot's, I ain't cool with you n*ggas/ It's always somethin', don't got sh*t to prove.”
The 27-year-old rapper then questions the onslaught of media attention towards his family.
“Like, damn, why the f*ck I'm on these tabloids?/ If it ain't me, it's my pops or my b*tch (Pops or my b*tch).”
In the second verse of the song, King Combs calls out Nancy Grace, an investigative journalist who has been very vocal against Diddy’s abusive actions.
“They don't understand but they stan me/ Tell 'em give me grace, even Nancy/ Tell 'em pump they brakes, I'm in the band, she/ Keep it in the family, can't abandon me (Bad Boy)/ Bad Boy, throwin' up the B's/ They can't hold us down, got our hands free.”
The song closes with the chorus.
Never Stop was released on June 27, 2025 and features seven tracks including Lonely Roads, Kim, People Like Me, Diddy Free, Repeat Me, The List, and Souls Outro.
