Megan Skiendiel mononymously known as Megan of the girl group KATSEYE has affirmed her bis*xuality on a Weverse broadcast on June 6, 2025. The Hawaii-born singer went live on Weverse alongside her bandmate Lara Raj as they tried on hair extensions.
Raj had previously cleared the air on her s*xuality in a Weverse live broadcast in March 2024. Lara Raj shared that she realised that she loved women from as early as eight years old, adding that her s*xual orientation made her nervous when she auditioned to be part of the group.
During the June 6, 2025, livestream, Lara Raj seemed to encourage her KATSEYE bandmate Megan by saying:
“Just do it. 1, 2, 3.”
Megan then says, “Guys, I'm coming out; I'm bis*xual,” before both girls begin giggling and jumping around in excitement.
Megan Skiendiel expressed that she felt nervous during the live stream before referencing the Los Angeles LGBT Center award given to Lara:
"Guys, I came out on Pride Month … so give me that award, girl.”
Lara didn’t skip a bit as she responded to Megan:
"Next time she gets the Blooming Impact award, and hey, I'm gonna present it to you and be like, hey, I was the first, you were the second."
Lara showed support for her group mate:
“I'm proud of you, Megan. Everyone say we love bis*xuals!”
Megan added:
“We love bis*xuals, and while I'm at it, let me also raise awareness about psoriasis. I have psoriasis.”
“I don't even really truly know who I am yet": KATSEYE's Megan talks about her style in Teen Vogue interview
Megan Skiendiel talked with Teen Vogue’s fashion editor, Donya Momenian, in a May 29, 2025, interview. The Katseye member revealed that she was still figuring out her style all these years, and it didn’t help that several people were watching her:
“I don't even really truly know who I am yet. That's a big reason why I'm still experimenting with everything, like my style, my hair, my makeup. It's fun, but at the same time, it is scary just knowing that everyone's watching. And especially me, I struggle with anxiety, so I'm like, ‘Oh, I wonder if people like this or not.’ … it's nice to figure out what I like, who I want to be, and who I am."
Lara Raj, who seemed to offer support to Megan in the latter’s coming out video, received the LA LGBT Center’s Blooming Impact Award in May 2025. The KATSEYE member Lara shared that although she was scared to put herself out there growing up, she had grown up and will continue to speak for others as a “brown queer girl.”
