Kellie Pickler is making headlines as a date from the past claims that she tried to kill him while they attended the CMT Music Awards together, 13 years ago. The accuser is identified as Nigel Edge. He was arrested on Saturday night for fatally shooting three people and injuring eight more at the American Fish Company saloon, which is in Southport, North Carolina.

Nigel Edge, who is identified as a resident of Brunswick County, also filed a case against Kellie Pickler in February for the same claims. He said that she tried to poison him while they were on a date at the CMT Music Awards, and the only reason he is alive today is because he did not consume the drink she offered.

How did Kellie Pickler allegedly poison Nigel Egde?

According to Nigel Edge's lawsuit, he claimed that Kellie Pickler gave him a Jim Beam to drink while he was her date at the CMT Music Awards. Additionally, Edge keeps referring to the CMT Music Awards as the CMA Awards.

He mentioned that the only reason he is alive today is that he did not consume the drink that Pickler gave him.

However, after more digging, TMZ revealed that there were, in fact, numerous articles that mentioned Kellie's date at the 2012 CMT Music Awards, but the plot twist is that his name was not Nick Edge.

According to the articles, the man who attended the CMT Music Awards with Kellie Pickler in 2012 was in fact a wounded Marine named Sgt. Sean DeBevoise. But there's more, TMZ found documents where Sgt. Sean DeBevoise had his name changed in 2023 to Nick Edge.

TMZ also discovered that it was not Edge's first time filing a lawsuit, claiming that someone tried to kill him. Earlier this year, he filed a similar lawsuit claiming that a medical institution tried to kill him. The institution is recognized as Brunswick Medical Center, located in North Carolina.

In this lawsuit, he mentioned that he had sustained injuries while serving in Iraq. According to his claims, he was shot in the head and almost died. Now, he has nerve damage, and half of his skull is made of plastic.

TMZ has reached out to Nick Edge's legal team, but they have yet to respond or make any comments about their client's claims.

Nigel Edge's shocking allegations against Kellie Pickler come amid his own criminal charge. With conflicting details about his past and a history of unusual lawsuits, the claims appear questionable. For now, Pickler has not addressed the situation, leaving the matter clouded in speculation. As for his most recent shooting, he will have to appear in court on Monday.
