Kim Kardashian has officially graduated from law school, and the news was shared with enthusiastic fans on social media on May 22, 2025. Kim's foray into the legal world was inspired by her father, Robert Kardashian, who was also a lawyer. Six years after she first started studying for the program, she has now been able to pass the exams with flying colors.
Kim Kardashian's law school path was rather unconventional, as she followed California’s Law Office Study Program rather than taking the traditional route. The program allowed her to appear for the Baby Bar Exam while studying under the wings of a practicing lawyer. She had tried her hand at the exam three times before her efforts finally bore fruit on the 4th attempt.
To celebrate the occasion, an intimate party was thrown in her backyard, and Van Jones and many of her close family and friends were invited to the party. The function wasn’t as elaborate as usual for the Kardashians, but certain highlights made their way onto Instagram. Kim Kardashian’s legal mentor, Jessica Jackson, spoke at the event and praised Kim’s drive by saying:
"It's an absolute honor to stand here today, not just as mentors, but as witnesses to one of the most inspiring legal journeys we've ever seen. Six years ago, Kim Kardashian walked into this program with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice. No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination and a mountain of case log books to read."
She then went on to add:
"Over the course of this program, Kim has dedicated 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year for six straight years. That's a total of 5,184 hours of legal study, that's time she carved out while raising four children, running businesses, filming television shows and showing up in courtrooms to advocate for others."
What's next for Kim Kardashian?
Getting her law degree is a major accomplishment for Kim Kardashian on the way to becoming a lawyer, and she has received great support from her family along the way. The whole family was involved, and Kourtney and Khloe took to social media to congratulate Kim and cheer her on.
Considering Kim was juggling a reality show, launching several products, and a divorce from Kanye West while studying for the Baby Bar Exam, it must have really required her to push herself. Though it did take a bit longer for her to graduate than was originally intended, the news of Kim's graduation from law school also caused quite a stir on social media, as congratulatory messages poured in from all corners of the world.
For her next step, Kim needs to take the California Bar Exam, which would be the final hurdle before she would officially be able to practice law in the state. With her father having spent a lifetime in the profession and her own active involvement in the matters of criminal justice reform, we will have to watch to see what she decides to do once she becomes a full-fledged lawyer.
